It is only a fucking seagull!

The Project

March 2003.
50 km off the coast of Finisterre an oil tanker with 77.000 ton of fuel aboard sends out an SOS.
A crack in the hull was making an imminent sinking inevitable.
The boat owners, the Spanish government and the rescue groups begin negotiating. They cannot reach
an immediate agreement. The fuel is worth 60 million Euros. According to the maritime groups,
a rescue operation could cost between 10 and 30 percent of the value of the boat and its cargo.
One of the tanks exploded and 63.000 tons of fuel oil spilled out.
All ending in tragedy…. Who cares?

It’s only one damn seagull,
one lonely beach,
a few stupid fish,
a handful of families…. some damned fisherman.
A bloody coast,
a dammed sea…
Who cares?
It’s our dammed life.
