Zako and Xandi have been invited by Quiksilver Foundation to celebrate the World Ocean Day in Biarritz on the 8th and the 9tthof June 2012. They were hosting the art workshop “arts et déchets“ for school children and the public at the Cite de l’ Ocean. The workshops added to the program of the “L’ Odyssey du flocon à la vague”; an event supported by world class athlets Matthieu Crepel and Bixente Lizarazu, aiming to raise awareness about water preservation through a friendly atmosphere. During the art workshops Zako and Xandi created a Future Sea Aquarium with the help of school children and with the collected beach trash. Additionally Skeleton Sea had the Roxy Mermaid, the (S)Hell and the Prestige sculptures on display. The Future Sea Aquarium of Biarritz’s World Ocean Day will remain in the Cite de l’ Ocean for the visitors to enjoy and as a reminder to Keep the Oceans clean!
