May 31st we proudly launch in Portugal our Skeleton Sea shirts & shorts collection fabricated with 100% re-cycled materials.
We, the Skeleton Sea artists, are passionate surfers and love the sea! Thus, this created the desire to connect our art with the message “Keep the Oceans clean!” to raise environmental awareness, and promote a different approach towards waste: turn ocean trash into art!
All our Skeleton Sea garments reflect our Skeleton Sea core background: surfing and creating art for a healthier environment. You can see and feel that in every step, we took until the finished product.
For the summer 2013 we created a collection of two men’s board shorts, twelve men’s shirts and four women’s shirts. The designs we did were influenced by our art, by our message and last but not least by what we like to wear.
Then everything was friendly fabricated in Portugal using certified materials only – such as recycled cotton and recycled polyester. We truly believe in reusing and recycling materials with a low environmental impact and a sustainable production in cooperation with Ericeira Surf & Skate.
With Ericeira Surf & Skate we found a partner who shares our vision of a cleaner ocean and the love for surfing and art. So they helped us with the development of a clean product and a sustainable Portuguese production.
And now, as of June 2013, for all of you whom want to share and see our idea, you can find the Skeleton Sea shirts & shorts in the 20 Ericeira Surf & Skate shops across Portugal.
For those near Ericeira, we kick off this project on May 31st with a street festival in front of the Ericeira Surf & Skate shop. Everyone is invited!
